Job summary

ofi North America is seeking an Export Documentation Specialist in Illinois to manage export documents for international shipments and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with freight forwarders, banks and internal teams to maintain accurate shipping records and timely delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in export documentation, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Prepare and review export documentation including LC, invoices and packing lists.
• Ensure documentation complies with LC terms and international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, banks and internal teams to ensure timely documents.
• Maintain organized records and stay updated on export regulations.
• Minimum 3–5 years of export documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review export documentation, including Letters of Credit (LC), shipping instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other related documents
• Ensure all documentation complies with LC terms, international trade regulations, and company policies
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, banks, and shipping lines to ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Monitor shipment details to ensure consistency across all documents
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in export documents to avoid delays or penalties
• Maintain organized and accurate records of export documentation
• Stay up to date with changes in export regulations and international trade requirements
