Job summary

ClearFreight, Inc. is seeking an Export Specialist to move shipments from the United States to destinations worldwide. You will book, document, and monitor international freight, while keeping customers informed and compliant with regulations.

You'll manage EEI filings, interact with carriers and brokers, and spot risks early to keep operations smooth and on schedule. This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in export operations, international trade, or freight forwarding.
• Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AESDirect, CargoWise, or similar logistics platforms.
• Strong organization and ability to juggle multiple shipments.
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
• Independent worker who stays in sync with the team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shipment coordination: Book and manage international shipments by ocean, air, and land.
• Documentation: Prepare and review export docs including EEI filings through AES.
• Compliance: Ensure shipments meet U.S. export regulations.
• Carrier relationships: Work with ocean carriers, airlines, brokers, and truckers.
• Customer communication: Provide proactive status updates and issue resolution.
• Risk management: Identify delays and compliance risks early and mitigate.
• Billing and cost control: Verify invoices and assist with disputes.
• Process improvement: Suggest workflow improvements to enhance service.
