Job summary

The Export Compliance Manager at India in Auburn, AL will oversee global trade compliance for production, non-production, and intangible exports, ensuring adherence to U.S. and international export control laws.

Responsibilities include screening restricted parties, classifying products, determining licensing needs, preparing license applications, managing export documentation, and coordinating with Legal, Customs, and Supply Chain to mitigate regulatory risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (business, supply chain, international trade, law, engineering) required.
• 5+ years of relevant export compliance, global trade, customs, or regulatory experience requested.
• Strong knowledge of export controls, sanctions, ECCN/HTS classifications, licensing processes, and trade compliance risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Audit, Legal, Customs, Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain to ensure export control compliance.
• Review and approve export transactions and accompanying documentation.
• Conduct restricted-party and sanctions screenings.
• Classify products, software, and technologies under ECCN and HTS.
• Evaluate licensing requirements and manage license applications.
• Manage export documentation and AES filings; resolve shipment and regulatory issues.
• Develop and update export compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions; provide training on export compliance.
