The Program Assistant works collaboratively with the Global Engagement team to assist in the organization, promotion, coordination and implementation of activities designed to promote cultural exchange, awareness, and sense of belonging among international and domestic students. Duties include but are not limited to the responsibilities shown below. The Program Assistant will be required to cover evening and weekend programs several times per month.Responsibilities:* Purchasing and payment management, including gathering quotes, payment details, and documenting expenses in Workday* Management of the team's email account* Supply management* Outreach and coverage of promotional tabling events* Securing room and bus reservations* Management of travel participant agreements for trips off campus* Event planning and implementation in coordination with other members of the Global Engagement team, including for International Student Orientation and OIA's student leadership programs* Planning and leading social activities and trips off campus for international and domestic students* Other administrative and logistical support as assignedMinimum Required QualificationsBachelor's DegreeFamiliarity with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)Demonstrated interest in working with international students or individualsAbility to carry out detailed work in a fast-paced environmentAvailability for evening and weekend workComfort giving presentations to large groups and leading group activitiesDesired Qualifications:1-2 years of relevant experienceExperience with procurement processes in WorkdayExperience communicating with non-native English speakersExperience with event planningProficiency in a language or languages other than EnglishExperience with systems used at Ohio State, such as SIS, Workday and QualtricsExperience with budget management in the workplace## Additional Information:This is a full-time, **limited-term appointment of two years,** with the possibility of a one-year extension (maximum three years total) based on exceptional performance and departmental needs.Please submit both a cover letter and a resume to be considered for this opportunity.The Program Assistant will be required to cover evening and weekend programs several times per month.The target hiring range for this job profile is **$19.47- $25.00** The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.**Function -** Academic Administration**Sub Function -** International Programs**Band -** Individual Contributor - Specialized**Level -** S1## Location:Enarson Classroom Building (0072)## Position Type:Term (Fixed Term)## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
