Job summary

MongoDB Inc. is seeking a Manager, Client Platform Engineering to own the endpoint platform worldwide.

You will lead a globally distributed team responsible for macOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints, mobile device management, zero‑touch provisioning, and secure OS/patch delivery that meets compliance targets. You will partner with InfoSec to harden the endpoint estate, build a telemetry-driven DEX program, and hire and mentor engineers across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in end user computing, client platform engineering, or endpoint and modern workplace engineering, incl. 3+ years leading engineers.
• Proven experience owning a fleet of several thousand endpoints across multiple countries and time zones.
• Hands‑on depth across macOS, Windows, Linux endpoints managed by modern MDM/UEM
• Experience with MDM/EMM models for corporate devices and BYOD
• Proven track record delivering major OS rollouts on schedule with ring strategy and rollback
• Experience instrumenting endpoints with telemetry/DEX platform and deriving SLOs
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex topics to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Own worldwide endpoint architecture and roadmap for macOS, Windows, Linux, and mobile.
• Lead the release calendar and deployment ring strategy with tested rollback.
• Administer and evolve endpoint management stack across MDM/UEM incl. DDM on macOS.
• Own mobile strategy for corporate‑owned and BYOD devices across iOS and Android.
• Build and operate Endpoint Digital Employee Experience program and define DEX metrics.
• Partner with InfoSec to implement and improve endpoint security controls.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex endpoint issues.
• Build automation to reduce manual endpoint operations and improve reliability.
