Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Endpoint Platform Engineer to own the MDM platform end-to-end, including configuration, patching, and telemetry across macOS devices and Linux. You will collaborate with Security to meet hardening and compliance standards while enabling developers and infra teams.

This role requires deep expertise in macOS internals, IaC, and scripting, plus experience building scalable automation and end-to-end device management pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building secure IT systems in complex environments; leadership across multiple teams.
• Managed endpoint fleets of thousands of macOS devices using modern MDM.
• Endpoint configuration as code is version controlled and peer reviewed.
• Deep knowledge of macOS internals (launchd, TCC, system extensions).
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Ability to write design docs and runbooks to aid support.

Responsibilities

• Own endpoint configuration as code: author, review, test, roll out policies across macOS and mobile with canary stages.
• Operate the MDM platform as a production service, including IaC, observability, upgrades, incident response.
• Build patch management automation with rapid enforcement timelines and good UX.
• Design zero touch provisioning for day-one productivity.
• Turn fleet telemetry into policy and dashboards; use automation to reduce manual ops.
• Partner with Security on endpoint hardening and compliance controls.
• Take shifts on rotation for escalations and serve as deep escalation tier for endpoint issues.
