Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking an Employment and Compliance Counsel to advise the People and Corporate Legal teams on global labor, employment, and compliance matters. You will support investigations, draft agreements, and help shape workplace policies in a fast-paced SaaS environment in the United States.

The role requires a JD and 4–6 years at a top firm or in-house, bar admission, and the ability to translate complex law into practical business decisions while collaborating across functions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from a top-tier or equivalent law school.
• Member of a U.S. state bar in good standing.
• Experience advising on global employment, compliance and related matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on a broad spectrum of global employment law issues, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, equity, compensation, benefits, contingent workers, employee classification, and global mobility.
• Prepare and negotiate employment-related agreements, including employment agreements and severance agreements.
• Support internal investigations into employee misconduct, violations of laws or policies, and employee disputes and litigation.
• Contribute to development, implementation, and review of workplace and compliance policies, processes, and guidance.
• Develop company-wide training on various employment and compliance matters.
• Liaise with external counsel in the U.S. and other jurisdictions as required.
• Prioritize internal client satisfaction, while promoting scalable processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with Legal and other teams over employee compliance policies.
• Gain a solid understanding of Chainalysis’ risk appetite and provide commercially astute, risk-appropriate decisions.
• Develop a strong understanding of Chainalysis’ products, services and business model.
