EQI is seeking a Global Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and execution of the company-wide EHS strategy across the United States, Canada, China, India, and Northern Ireland. The role champions safety excellence, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to reduce risk and standardize practices across a geographically diverse organization.

The position translates corporate EHS expectations into site-level action, driving measurable risk reduction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of progressive EHS experience across multiple sites or regions.
  • Proven success implementing EHS management systems and cultural transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of global EHS regulations and standards.
  • Experience with audits, investigations, and regulatory interactions.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ~30–45%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global EHS strategy aligned with EQI’s business objectives.
  • Provide leadership to the EHS Council and site-level stakeholders.
  • Visit manufacturing facilities, warehouses, supplier locations, and offices to assess EHS risks, verify program implementation, and support site teams.
  • Establish standardized global policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Lead company-wide initiatives designed to achieve an injury-free workplace.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks across global operations and supply-chain partners.
  • Develop and oversee global EHS training programs to ensure workforce competency and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead global incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analyses, corrective-action tracking, and lessons-learned communications.
