Job summary

MSD Malaysia offers a Future Talent Program internship lasting up to 12 weeks in our Global Support Function Division at the West Point site. The Global Safety & Environment Intern will provide EHS compliance and technical support to local site partners related to compliance programs.

Requires pursuing a technical degree, at least 2 years of college coursework, and the ability to work full time for 10–12 weeks. A strong mix of critical thinking, communication and problem-solving is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Completed at least 2 years of college coursework.
• Available to work full time for 10–12 weeks.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills.
• Able to receive verbal or written direction and implement changes.
• Experience in EHS or chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Able to convey ideas clearly and work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to site partners.
• Support safety programs such as General Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental programs.
• Assist the site EHS team at West Point.
