Job summary

Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC in Rahway, NJ, USA, offers a Global Safety & Environment internship as part of the Future Talent Program. The 12-week FTP provides hands-on EHS compliance and technical support across site partners, including safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs.

Currently pursuing a technical degree, you will work full-time for 10–12 weeks, applying critical thinking and problem-solving to improve processes within a collaborative, hybrid team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a technical degree (safety, environmental science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related).
• Completed at least 2 years of college coursework.
• Able to work full time for 10–12 weeks.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement changes.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to local site partners.
• Support General Occupational Safety, High-Risk Work, Industrial Hygiene, Air/Water/Waste Environmental programs.
