Job summary

AFB International seeks a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to shape and drive global EHS strategy across manufacturing operations. This high-impact leader will build best-in-class programs that go beyond compliance and foster a true culture of safety.

You will lead cross-functional teams with engineering, HR, and operations, drive global regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, audits, training, and change management, and develop talent to sustain continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field required; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership with global and manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and EHS systems.
• Excellent communicator and influencer with collaborative mindset.
• Lean/Six Sigma background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy and develop a global roadmap aligned with company values.
• Oversee global regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and proactive safety practices.
• Collaborate across engineering, HR, operations and site leaders to implement systems and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement using data, audits, and incident analysis.
• Build and lead a high-performing EHS team and promote accountability.
