Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Connecticut) seeks a strategic Head of Editorial to lead a global editorial team of 7–9 editors and drive high-quality content operations. You will coach, motivate, and build an environment that encourages collaboration and creative thinking across remote and hybrid settings.

Responsibilities include optimizing production processes, providing ongoing feedback, tracking productivity, and shaping editorial strategy with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (experience accepted in lieu)
• 7+ years of work experience in editing, writing, journalism, communications or a similar field
• 2+ years of experience leading/managing teams and/or developing high-performing individuals and teams
• Ideal candidate has experience leading remote or hybrid teams
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure by confidently prioritizing critical goals
• Strong time management, planning and organization skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
