The College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach day and eveningclasses in global diversity related disciplines including but notlimited to Africana Studies, Global Studies, and Women and GenderStudies.
Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy,use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning.Preference will be given to applicants who present evidence ofexcellence in teaching and those who through education andexperience demonstrate the ability to teach across multiplediversity related disciplines.
Pay Level: $1,085 per credit hour
Campus Locations: Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville, & OwingsMills
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in International/Global Studies, GenderStudies, Africana Studies, Ethnic Studies or a related field.
- Two years teaching experience in global diversity or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Prepare and deliver course instruction, follow common courseoutlines and policies, utilize the CCBC learning management system,grade, critique, and evaluate student work, provide timely feedbackto students, keep and submit accurate classroom records,communicate with the discipline coordinator, attend requiredtraining sessions, and attend professional development anddepartmental meetings.
- Mentor students and contribute to the success of the socialsciences program.
- Support the community college philosophy through commitment tosuccess of students with diverse goals, backgrounds and learningstyles.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college.
- Maintain currency in field(s) through professional developmentand scholarly activities .
- Perform related duties as required.

Long-Term Disability
