Job summary

SMTC Corporation is seeking a Director of Operational Excellence in Melbourne, FL. The role drives Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement across global manufacturing sites, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to deliver measurable performance gains.

You will lead standardized practices, KPI governance, and capability building while championing a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma.
• Experience leading Operational Excellence or continuous improvement programs across multiple manufacturing sites, regions, or business units.
• Ability to quantify and validate operational and financial benefits in partnership with Finance and leadership.
• Strong collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global Operational Excellence strategy, operating system, and roadmap in alignment with manufacturing objectives.
• Lead deployment of Lean and Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and problem-solving across sites.
• Identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive cost, productivity, and delivery improvements.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, governance, and benefit tracking for results.
• Collaborate with Finance to validate financial benefits and ROI.
• Lead change management and build organizational capability across locations.
