Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a dynamic Director of Operational Excellence to drive Lean Six Sigma driven performance improvements across the site, partnering with manufacturing, quality and support functions to ensure high-quality production and timely delivery of medicines.

As a member of the site leadership team, you will develop annual OpEx objectives, mentor a team of OpEx professionals, implement dashboards, and champion continuous improvement while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations management or related field.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated manufacturing operations with 5+ years in a people leadership role.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change in high-complexity environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and enterprise/AI software (e.g., D365, SAP, TrackWise, ServiceNow, Veeva, Claude, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Simtra Production System based on Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Lead and mentor a team of OpEx professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Oversee continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor with a strong presence to coach operators and supervisors.
• Develop dashboards and reports for senior management and clients, tracking KPI impact.
