AFL in Duncan, SC is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health, Safety & Security to lead EHSS across the company’s manufacturing operations. You will shape strategy, drive risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance while partnering with site leaders to integrate safety into daily work.

The role requires strong leadership, experience building EHSS capabilities across multiple sites, and a track record of improving safety performance through robust programs and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive EHSS experience with leadership at large sites.
• Experience leading and developing EHSS professionals in a matrixed organization.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, and security.
• Experience designing or improving EHSS management systems, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate with executive presence.
• Experience leading investigations of serious incidents or high-potential events.
• Ability to work across cultures, functions, and locations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead EHSS function for global manufacturing operations and advise senior leadership.
• Translate EHSS strategy into priorities, plans, standards, and objectives.
• Maintain risk registers and pre-job planning processes.
• Integrate EHSS requirements into changes, equipment, projects, and expansions.
• Develop EHSS professionals and promote knowledge sharing across sites.
• Represent manufacturing EHSS in enterprise forums and deploy EHSS initiatives.
• Lead emergency preparedness and security governance across sites.
