Job summary

Pfizer seeks a senior leader to manage the clinical sample logistics function for its vaccine portfolio. You will oversee end-to-end logistics from study start-up to disposition, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable transport across global networks to the Pearl River biorepository and onward to testing labs.

You will lead a 40+ team, drive digital and automation initiatives, and partner with Vaccines, Quality, Legal, Finance, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related.
• 8+ years in logistics, supply chain, clinical trial ops, central lab, or biopharma.
• 5+ years of direct people management in large teams.
• Experience in regulated environment with risk-management decisions.
• Knowledge of global sample logistics, cold-chain, customs, infectious substance transport, biohazard shipping.
• Proven relationship-building and matrixed-team leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong change agility and problem solving in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead global sample logistics team of 40+ across domestic and international shipments.
• Shape long-term sample logistics strategy with scalable operating models.
• Protect sample integrity and ensure compliance with FDA/EMA/IATA/DOT and Pfizer standards.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for deviations, CAPAs, changes, and training.
• Drive vendor governance and performance metrics for couriers and tech partners.
• Modernize operations with digital tools, automation, dashboards, and AI-enabled systems.
• Collaborate across Vaccines, Quality, Legal, Finance, and external partners.
• Develop talent, culture, and succession planning.
• Present complex logistics data and risks to senior leaders.
