Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Client Engagement Strategy & Sponsorships (Events) to lead the Global Client Engagements function, shaping how the firm uses strategic engagements, sponsorships, and client experiences to strengthen relationships and drive growth.

You will set the operating model for a pod-based global team and partner with Business Development to embed engagement strategy across Industry Groups.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in client development, client engagement, events, or growth strategy within a professional services or B2B environment.
• Experience designing and leading operating models, governance, and scalable delivery in a global organization.
• Strong commercial judgment connecting engagement strategy to revenue growth and pipeline progression.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy, and operating model for the Client Engagements Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Lead a pod-based global team to deliver scalable client engagements, events, and sponsorships.
• Establish governance for the client engagement lifecycle from intake to post‑engagement activation.
• Manage the firm’s global portfolio of client engagements and sponsorships with a focus on strategic opportunities.
• Create tiered client engagement models aligned to audience, investment, and outcomes.
• Provide guidance on market-leading engagements and client relationship strategy.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Industry Groups to embed engagement plans in campaigns and GTM initiatives.
• Define performance measures and executive reporting for relationship progression and pipeline impact.
• Develop standards, playbooks, and tools to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency across markets.
