Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Client Engagement Strategy & Sponsorships (Events) to lead the Client Engagements function and shape how the firm uses strategic engagements, sponsorships, and client experiences to strengthen relationships and drive growth.

The role requires translating firm and client priorities into distinctive experiences with measurable business impact across the engagement lifecycle, leading a pod-based global team and partnering with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in client development, client engagement, events, growth strategy, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated success building, transforming, or scaling a strategic enterprise capability.
• Experience leading operating models, governance, and scalable delivery across a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision, strategy, and operating model for the Client Engagements Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Lead and evolve the function into a scalable, commercially focused capability for engagements across the firm.
• Establish governance for the full client engagement lifecycle from intake to post-engagement activation.
• Manage the firm’s global portfolio of client engagements, events, and sponsorships with aligned investments.
• Create tiered client engagement models matching audience, investment, and outcomes to client value and growth.
• Define performance measures and executive reporting showing relationship progression and portfolio impact.
