Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Client Engagement Strategy & Sponsorships to lead the Client Engagements function from a strategic standpoint. You will shape how engagements, sponsorships, and client experiences drive growth and differentiation for the firm on a global scale.

The role requires 15+ years in client development or related areas, strong operating-model design skills, and a track record of managing large cross-functional teams and budgets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in client development or engagement within professional services or complex B2B environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement operating models, governance, and scalable delivery.
• Experience managing global portfolios, budgets, investments, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong commercial judgment linking engagement strategy to revenue growth.
• Data-driven decision making with insights and technology to inform strategy.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and operating model for Client Engagements Center of Excellence aligned to growth priorities.
• Evolve function into scalable, commercially focused capability across the firm.
• Establish governance for full client engagement lifecycle and measurement.
• Manage global portfolio of client engagements, events, and sponsorships.
• Create tiered engagement models matching audience, investment, and outcomes.
• Advise leadership on market-leading engagements and client experiences.
• Partner with Business Development to embed engagement strategy in plans and campaigns.
• Define performance measures and executive reporting for relationship progression.
• Develop firmwide standards, playbooks, and enablement tools for consistency.
• Set roadmap for engagement-related technology and data improvements.
• Lead change management and develop a high-performing, pod-based global team.
