Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Forensic Digital Evidence Advisor (Independent Contractor) to mentor host-country experts in digital and mobile evidence collection, preservation, analysis, and court-ready reporting. The advisor will train on OS concepts, tool usage, chain of custody, and best practices for evidence exploitation.

Responsibilities include leading working groups, producing technical reports, and coordinating with DoS/DOJ officials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of digital evidence examination experience.
• Experience with Detego, Magnet AXIOM, EnCase, or Autopsy.
• Experience training forensic examiners and first responders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor host-country examiners on OS, digital forensics, chain of custody, and report writing.
• Advise partners on procurement, testing, use, and maintenance of digital extraction/analysis tools.
• Deliver specialized instruction in security assessments, link analysis, and digital evidence exploitation.
• Lead working groups, facilitate meetings, and draft technical reports for US government stakeholders.
• Assist host-country labs in developing quality management systems and aligning with international standards.
