Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Forensic Digital Evidence Advisor to support ICITAP activities with host nations. The role focuses on mobile and computer forensics, mentoring on collection, preservation, triage, and analysis of digital evidence.

Emphasis on chain of custody and defensible reporting for court and investigations, with cross‑agency coordination. The position is an independent contractor, remote within the United States, and part‑time, with responsibilities for quality training, standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of digital evidence examination experience.
• Experience training forensic examiners and first responders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Clearable: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust US Government Clearance (US Citizenship is required).

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor host-country examiners on operating systems, digital forensics best practices, chain of custody management, and forensic report writing.
• Advise partners on the procurement, testing, use, and maintenance of digital extraction and analysis tools.
• Deliver specialized instruction in security assessments, link analysis, and digital evidence exploitation.
• Lead working groups, facilitate bilateral meetings, and draft comprehensive technical reports and progress briefings for U.S. government stakeholders.
• Assist host-country labs in developing quality management systems, reviewing SOPs, and aligning with international forensic standards.
