Job summary

Amentum, partnering with the U.S. Department of Justice’s ICITAP, seeks a qualified Forensic Digital Evidence Advisor.

This subject matter expert will mentor host-country experts in mobile and computer forensics, procedures for evidence collection, triage, analysis, and court-ready reporting. The advisor will train on operating systems, evidence extraction, and chain of custody, advise on tools, and support quality management and international standards; some sessions may cover security

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related digital evidence examination experience.
• Experience using multiple extraction and analysis tools beyond Cellebrite.
• Experience training forensic examiners and first responders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Clearable: ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor host-country examiners on operating systems, digital forensics, chain of custody, and report writing.
• Advise partners on procurement, testing, use, and maintenance of digital tools.
• Deliver instruction in security assessments, link analysis, and digital evidence exploitation.
• Lead meetings, draft technical reports for U.S. government stakeholders.
• Assist labs with QA/QC and alignment with international forensic standards.
