Job summary

WeWork seeks a Design Manager with at least eight years of experience to lead the Global Design Studio. The role focuses on creating vibrant coworking environments, developing standards, and managing cross-functional teams across the United States and Canada.

Periodic travel may be required. The Global Design Studio combines architects, interior designers, and workplace strategists working under a Global Creative Director.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional design experience on high quality commercial or hospitality interiors.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• BS or BA Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain an on-brand project aesthetic appropriate to the market, neighborhood, and program for all US and Canada projects.
• Act as manager and mentor to regional team members with guidance and feedback.
• Organize 1:1 discussions with Interior Design staff to plan and track growth.
• Collaborate with Architecture Team on layouts, programming, and space planning.
• Produce design and handoff packages using Revit (AoR, GC handoff, etc.).
• Communicate project updates regularly to management and project team.
• Ensure design intent follows brand standards and best practices.
