Job summary

Milani Cosmetics seeks a seasoned Director of Global Demand Planning to own the unconstrained demand plan and guide forecasting strategy across the organization. You will lead a small team, drive the S&OP cycle, and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to optimize inventory and service levels.

You will champion advanced analytics and AI/ML tools to improve forecast accuracy, manage 12–18 month demand horizons, and contribute to Milani’s Stage Gate process for new

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and/or related Supply Chain functions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing supply chain teams.
• Minimum of 2 years owning and leading the S&OP process.
• Proven experience leveraging AI, ML, or advanced statistical modeling for forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Experience in color cosmetics or consumer products is preferred.
• Excellent MS Excel skills and proficiency in planning software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategy.
• Proactive, self-directed team player with multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the demand planning team.
• Drive the S&OP monthly cycle with cross-functional data to improve unit fill rate and inventory efficiency.
• Champion advanced analytics and AI/ML within demand planning to enhance forecast accuracy.
• Own and lead the monthly S&OP Consensus forecasting processes with internal and external inputs.
• Lead the monthly Executive S&OP meetings for the Milani SLT.
• Develop and refine forecasting models using historical data, market trends, promotions, and launches.
• Oversee AI/ML forecast outputs and integrate qualitative insights for a consensus forecast.
• Model the impact of drivers on demand and inventory dynamics, including PODs and door counts.
• Analyze POS data and market intel to support Surge/Maintain/Purge for new launches.
• Lead monthly Consensus meetings with Sales and Marketing; work with Sales and Finance on annual budgets.
