Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC, a Buffalo-based global headwear brand, seeks a Global Demand Planner to drive forecasting, S&OP, and inventory planning. You will partner with sales, supply chain, and production to align demand with capacity and budgets, while leading cross-functional demand sessions and delivering data-driven insights for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain; related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 3–5 years of analytical experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Blue Cherry, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards).
• Advanced MS Office skills; Excel and PowerPoint required; Tableau/Power BI a plus.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales data to develop a statistical forecast for the Demand Plan review.
• Evaluate forecast vs. actuals and prepare talking points with the Demand Team.
• Assess POS and customer data to understand impact on plans.
• Align S&OP forecast with budget metrics including revenue and inventory.
• Lead Ecom and Global/Custom Demand Plans with cross-functional teams.
• Run monthly Demand Sessions with key stakeholders and track gaps.
• Create S&OP minutes and follow up on actions.
• Develop inventory plans and report on Sales and Operations planning metrics.
• Aggregate purchasing data and forecast future spend with finance.
• Coordinate Global Production/Capacity plans for headwear and apparel.
• Develop distribution plans and analytical tools for S&OP.
• Identify slow-moving/obsolete materials and execute optimization actions.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication across Demand and Supply teams.
