Job summary

SES Satellites is seeking an experienced Data Service Architect, Network Planning, to design end-to-end service architectures across space, ground, and terrestrial networks. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure service solutions while collaborating with engineering, product, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or satellite services.
• Proven experience in service architecture / solution design.
• Strong understanding of IP networking (MPLS, VPNs, routing protocols).
• Satellite communications and ground infrastructure.
• Experience with end-to-end service design across multiple domains.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-aligned solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end service architectures spanning space, ground, and terrestrial networks.
• Translate customer and business requirements into detailed technical service designs.
• Define service models, workflows, and operational processes (fulfillment, assurance, lifecycle management).
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Product & Commercial, and Operations teams.
• Develop standardized service templates and design frameworks to accelerate delivery.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, resilience, and security requirements.
• Support cost modeling and business case development for new services.
• Participate in customer engagements as the technical authority when needed.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and architectural strategy.
