Job summary

SES is seeking an experienced Media Service Architect in Network Planning to design end-to-end service architectures across space, ground, and terrestrial networks for broadcast video. You will translate business requirements into scalable, reliable designs and work with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver cost-effective services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or satellite services
• Strong understanding of media protocols and IP networking
• Experience with end-to-end service design across multiple domains
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-aligned solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end service architectures spanning space, ground, and terrestrial networks for broadcast video
• Translate customer and business requirements into detailed technical service designs
• Define service models, workflows, and operational processes (fulfillment, assurance, lifecycle management)
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Product & Commercial teams
• Develop standardized service templates and design frameworks
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, resilience and security requirements
• Support cost modeling and business case development for new services
• Participate in customer engagements as the technical authority
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and architectural strategy
