Job summary

SES Satellites seeks an experienced Media Service Architect to design end‑to‑end service architectures across a global network and satellite portfolio. The role translates complex business needs into scalable, reliable service solutions for broadcast video across space, ground, and terrestrial domains.

You will work with engineering, operations, product management, and commercial teams to ensure technically sound service offerings that are cost‑effective and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or satellite services.
• Proven experience in service architecture / solution design.
• Strong understanding of media protocols (ASI, JPEG), IP networking (MPLS, VPNs), and satellite ground infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end service architectures spanning space, ground, and terrestrial networks for broadcast video.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed technical service designs.
• Define service models, workflows, and operational processes (fulfillment, assurance, lifecycle management).
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Product & Commercial teams, and Operations to ensure viable service definitions.
• Develop standardized service templates and design frameworks to accelerate delivery.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, resilience, and security requirements.
• Support cost modeling and business case development for new services.
• Participate in customer engagements as the technical authority when needed.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and architectural strategy.
