Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to lead relationships with data center operators and drive strategic deployments across global networks.

You will define commercial terms and coordinate with partners to secure scalable, high-density capacity for Akamai's edge platforms. You will organize regular business reviews, negotiate complex agreements, analyze the landscape for cost savings, and collaborate with internal provisioning teams to ensure timely capacity

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Excellent commercial and contractual negotiation skills.
• Solid knowledge of the Internet, Interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Strong data analysis and cross-functional project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and negotiate partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers
• Organizing regular business reviews with Data Centers to plan upcoming projects
• Analyzing the Data Center landscape to identify the right technical and commercial terms
• Working closely with existing and new Partners and Vendors to identify cost effective business relationships and then executing those agreements
• Managing contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale efficiently and support our customers increasing demands
• Ensuring capacity is upgraded in a timely/effective manner by working closely with internal and external provisioning teams
