Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Vice President of Global Data Center Operations in Seattle to lead and scale the company’s international data center footprint. You will own end-to-end operations for critical facilities, optimize space, power, and cooling, and partner with IT Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure reliability and environmental stewardship.

The role demands a strategic visionary with deep MEP expertise and a track record of building high-performing, globally

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in data center facilities/physical plant management.
• Minimum 5 years in executive or senior leadership roles.
• Deep technical understanding of mechanical/electrical infrastructure (UPS, HVAC, chillers, generators).
• Proven ability to build and scale globally distributed facilities teams.
• Strong financial/strategic planning for large OpEx/CapEx budgets.

Responsibilities

• Direct 24/7/365 global data center operations and ensure uptime for critical power/cooling systems.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for facility equipment across the portfolio.
• Lead incident management and RCA to meet facility SLAs.
• Manage space, power, and cooling capacity and oversee site operations and maintenance.
• Drive sustainability initiatives to improve PUE/WUE and efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a global facilities teamForm partnerships with vendors, utilities, and contractors.
• Define and execute the global Ops strategy balancing standardization with regional execution.
• Collaborate with AI Infra Ops to ensure seamless integration and deployment readiness.
• Inform design decisions to improve reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio including mega campuses and leased sites.
