Responsibilities

• Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including facilities managers, chief engineering managers and engineering operations technicians.
• Attainment of organizational performance goals relating to safety, security, availability, scaling and efficiency in data center operations.
• Plan and execute Infrastructure Operations for new AWS data center build-outs and expansions, including mechanical/electrical/plumbing infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, with preventive and corrective maintenance and change management.
• Vendor management of colocation data center services to meet or exceed SLAs.
• Oversee preventative maintenance systems and adherence to schedules and performance.
• Balance insourcing/outsourcing maintenance tasks to optimize skills and frugality.
• Lead safety, security, incident response and incident resolution.
• Continuously improve operational processes, procedures, methods and tools.
