Job summary

Meta’s Edge & Network Services team is hiring a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support large‑scale data center networks across multiple locations. You will work with cross‑functional teams and vendors to develop features and optimize deployments in a fast‑paced environment.

You will drive efficiency through automation and tooling, participate in NPI, and help shape future data center and network designs while ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with leveraging AI to drive efficiencies for improved reliability, quality and speed of deployments.
• In-depth experience with designing and deploying large-scale data center network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure and best practices.
• Knowledge of data center design, construction, and start up/commissioning processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale data center projects.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and optical transport technologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise and provider level network hardware platforms (IP + Optical).
• Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across multiple locations.
• Research, develop and deploy technologies and topologies to evolve data centers and optimize deployments.
• Initiate and lead strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization of data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop new features for networking.
• Influence future iterations of data center and network designs for seamless integration of new infrastructure.
• Support network infrastructure through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling to provision, manage, monitor and troubleshoot networks.
• Create network design packages with design, data center connectivity and deployment teams.
