Job summary

Cloudflare in Atlanta is seeking a Data Center Engineer to maintain the global network footprint and collaborate with SRE, Network Engineering, and deployment teams to ensure high availability across 330+ cities and 125+ countries.

You will leverage AI to automate tasks, document processes, and improve operational efficiency while coordinating with hardware vendors and remote contractors in a highly dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience managing and instructing remote contractors.
• Familiarity with data center operations and remote colocation facilities.
• Experience running and improving operational processes, including automation tooling.
• Comfortable with program management responsibilities (planning, scheduling, status reporting) such as JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network Engineering and SRE teams to maintain Cloudflare's global data center footprint across 330+ cities and 125+ countries.
• Maintain Data Center environment availability and reliability.
• Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and speed up documentation and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and procedures.
