Fluence is seeking a Data Center BESS Sales Engineer to lead the technical and commercial efforts for growing our data center business globally. Qualifications

• 8+ years of business development or strategic sales experience in energy storage, power infrastructure, data centers, or closely related sectors.
• Proven track record of developing and advancing multimillion-dollar B2B opportunities with sophisticated customers.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience shaping value propositions for complex infrastructure or energy offerings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of business development for the global data center segment by identifying, qualifying, and advancing strategic opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, EPCs, utilities, and other counterparties.
• Engage customers early to understand business drivers, power constraints, commercial priorities, and technical requirements, including how BESS fits within data center strategies.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Engineering to shape solution strategies and guide opportunities through commercial development.
• Translate market and customer insights into go-to-market priorities, product feedback, and internal enablement for the data center segment.
• Build credibility with executive and technical stakeholders by linking solution design and power architecture to business outcomes.
