Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dangerous Goods Lead (Global Logistics Lead) to own DG policies, controls, and processes across air, ocean, and ground transport, ensuring safety, compliance, and scalability. You will work with regulators, carriers, and internal teams to drive regulatory guidance and enable rapid growth for Starlink.

The role requires strong regulatory expertise, hands-on DG shipments experience, and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing air, ground, and ocean dangerous goods shipments.
• 3+ years of experience with U.S. and international DG regulations and import/export compliance.
• Current valid certifications: DOT, IATA, and IMDG.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve DG policies, procedures, and controls for air, ocean, and ground transportation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on IATA, 49 CFR, IMDG, and related U.S. and international DG regulations.
• Conduct internal audits of processes and documentation to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Drive scalable solutions and metric-based continuous improvement that reduce risk and support business growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, industry associations, and key partners.
• Partner with senior leadership across organizations to align policy, risk posture, and operational controls.
• Support new business opportunities and transportation models with clear regulatory guidance.
