Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dangerous Goods Lead to own the planning, execution, and improvement of DG policies across air, ocean, and ground networks. This role partners with regulators, carriers, and internal teams to drive safety, compliance, and scalable transportation solutions.

The position requires strong regulatory expertise, operational judgment, and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management.
• 5+ years managing DG shipments (air, ground, ocean).
• 3+ years DG regs/import-export compliance.
• Current certifications: DOT, IATA, IMDG.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve DG policies, procedures, and controls for air, ocean, and ground transportation.
• Serve as SME on IATA, 49 CFR, IMDG and related DG regulations.
• Audit processes and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Drive scalable solutions and continuous improvement to reduce risk.
• Build relationships with regulators, industry, and partners.
• Partner with senior leadership to align policy, risk posture, and controls.
• Support new business opportunities with clear regulatory guidance.
