Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Memphis coordinates documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for import entry. You will ensure accurate classification, perform data entry, and maintain shipment records with a focus on high service levels.

You’ll work Monday–Friday with a 6:00am start, providing impeccable customer service while adhering to regulations and internal policies. Prior data entry and MS Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; no industry experience required.
• Minimum of 6 months work experience preferred.
• Data entry/keyboard experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Organizational and inter-personal skills highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff book, internet or customs.
• Data entry and processing of import related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle all PGAs.
• Maintain current shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all importing/exporting regulations.
• Collaborate with internal staff, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high service levels.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• May handle remote filings.
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
