Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented entry specialist to coordinate US customs documentation for goods entering the United States on behalf of importers. You will provide impeccable customer service and manage data entry for import-related documentation.

The role involves ensuring proper classification for customs release, maintaining shipment records, and complying with all import/export regulations. Collaboration with internal teams and government agencies is essential.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 12 months of industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months work experience required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple systems and reference materials.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-year experience in the customs clearance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation for US entry of goods for importers.
  • Provide impeccable customer service.
  • Process commodities requiring specialized handling to reduce risks.
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release.
  • Data entry and processing of import documentation for submission to US Customs.
  • Maintain and keep current shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all import/export regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, other FedEx opcos, customers and government agencies to deliver high service levels.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments.
  • May handle remote filings.
  • Perform entry reconciliations as needed.
  • Follow up on customs matters and resolve problems.
  • Perform entry reviews as needed.
