Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented entry specialist to coordinate US customs documentation for goods entering the United States on behalf of importers. You will provide impeccable customer service and manage data entry for import-related documentation.

The role involves ensuring proper classification for customs release, maintaining shipment records, and complying with all import/export regulations. Collaboration with internal teams and government agencies is essential.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 12 months of industry experience preferred.
Minimum 6 months work experience required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work with multiple systems and reference materials.
Knowledge of customs regulations preferred.
Minimum of 5-year experience in the customs clearance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate documentation for US entry of goods for importers.
Provide impeccable customer service.
Process commodities requiring specialized handling to reduce risks.
Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release.
Data entry and processing of import documentation for submission to US Customs.
Maintain and keep current shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Adhere to all import/export regulations.
Collaborate with internal staff, other FedEx opcos, customers and government agencies to deliver high service levels.
Process agency brokerage shipments.
May handle remote filings.
Perform entry reconciliations as needed.
Follow up on customs matters and resolve problems.
Perform entry reviews as needed.
