Job summary

ASML is seeking a Customs Manager to lead global customs strategy with a strong emphasis on U.S. compliance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across customs processes.

The role is based on-site in San Diego, CA, with a flexible remote option up to two days per week. A minimum of eight years in customs or related regulation is expected, with a target to advance ASML’s compliant international trade posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, SCM, law, or finance.
• Eight years of experience in customs compliance or international trade.
• Experience managing US customs compliance programs.
• Experience leading customs initiatives in a complex organization.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Customs broker certification preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor/tech/manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customs laws and regulations and assess their impact on ASML’s business operations.
• Advise leaders and stakeholders on customs implications related to business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with finance, legal, compliance, and other business functions to provide integrated customs guidance.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve customs compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Maintain and enhance customs control frameworks, with a strong focus on U.S. customs compliance and risk mitigation.
• Lead or support business improvement projects as the customs subject matter expert.
• Represent ASML in interactions with customs authorities, including audits, rulings, agreements, and regulatory discussions.
