Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a skilled customs broker/advisor to ensure smooth import/export clearances and to communicate with customs authorities. You will support customers, prepare transit documents, calculate duties, and maintain compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as a forwarding/customs agent/broker.
• Good knowledge in customs clearance.
• Ability to work independently and in a group environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plausibility check of customs-relevant customer data and commissioning.
• Declaration of import and export customs clearances.
• Ensuring communication with customs authorities.
• Preparation of transit documents and monitoring of their closure.
• Calculation of duties.
• Support and consulting of customers.
• Preparation of key figures and statistics.
• Carrying out general administrative tasks.
• Compliance with retention of customs documents.
• Deadline control and adherence to submission deadlines.
• Support resolution of NCRs, complaints, claims.
• Support implementation & continuous improvement for customers.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws.
