Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Customs Brokerage Coordinator to support the movement of freight by ensuring compliance with U.S. customs regulations, preparing documentation, and resolving issues that could delay shipments.

Responsibilities include developing customer relationships, submitting documentation to Customs and agents, advising on payment terms, resolving billing issues, and negotiating carrier rates as needed. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills and strong customer service, organizational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and related federal requirements; HTS classification familiarity helps.
• Basic math and data entry skills; ability to handle billing and banking related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service and maintain relationships with front-line customer contacts.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients.
• Identify and resolve problems delaying freight release or movement.
• Advise customers on payment terms and resolve billing issues.
• Develop rates and quotes; research and negotiate carrier rates.
• Coordinate post-entry activities and ensure accurate invoicing and vendor payments.
