Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related logistics field.
• 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage with 2–3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing a regional or centralized customs brokerage hub.
• Expertise in HTS classification, U.S. Customs regulations, and trade compliance.
• Strong analytical thinking, leadership ability, and proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/CargoWise).

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% adherence to local/international trade regulations, including PGA requirements, HTS classification, valuation, and FTAs.
• Oversee daily brokerage operations, including entry processing, audits, and proactive client communication.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Train, mentor, and coach staff, ensuring capacity to handle increased volume across Charlotte and Raleigh Hubs.
• Act as a technical advisor to clients on customs procedures and resolving delays.
• Monitor ISF, duty payments, and maintain compliant documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of trade compliance requirements and regulatory updates.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, and cost control measures and present reports to senior leadership.
