U.S. Bank seeks a Global Head of Custody Operations to lead a global team responsible for front-to-back custody, asset servicing, and safekeeping across markets and currencies, ensuring accuracy, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

This role drives the transition from end-of-day batch processing to real-time exception management, embedding automation and AI into core workflows. The incumbent will balance client experience with risk management and work closely with sub-custodians, market

Qualifications

• 15+ years of financial services experience in operations leadership (investments/ custody).
• Deep expertise across securities processing, settlement, corporate actions, income/tax processing, and other custody functions.
• Strong knowledge of OCC, DTC/DTCC, CSDR, and global market practice.
• Proven transformation and automation leadership to simplify processes and scale.
• Experience managing budgets, workforce plans, and capacity in large ops.
• Proven track record in managing sub-custodian and third-party relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the operational strategy and vision for custody operations.
• Lead the transition from batch processing to real-time exception management and compressed settlement timelines.
• Drive digital transformation using RPA, workflow automation, cloud, and AI to raise STP rates.
• Oversee global settlements, corporate actions, dividend processing, proxy voting, and reconciliations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, reporting, and robust business continuity.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global team and partner with clients and custodians.
