Job summary

Sphera, a leading global provider of enterprise software and services for ESG, seeks a Corporate Counsel to partner with senior legal and business leaders worldwide. You will handle complex SaaS, licensing, and vendor agreements, advise on employment, IP, and data privacy, and help shape governance and subsidiary management.

Ideal candidate has 6+ years in-house at a multinational or equivalent, strong negotiation skills, and a JD or equivalent. Remote-friendly role, based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience (in-house at a multinational company; law firm or equivalent also acceptable)
• Experience addressing cross-border legal issues for global teams
• Strong ability to understand and clearly communicate complex legal issues to business teams
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with sales organizations and manage B2B SaaS contracts
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and IP for SaaS/software
• Licensure to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction of residence

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior legal team to support commercial needs of Sphera’s global operations
• Provide counsel to HR, Finance, IT, Services, Product or Marketing on legal matters
• Collaborate with global outside counsel as needed
• Review and prepare complex commercial agreements (SaaS, professional services, licensing) with global scope
• Support implementation of team processes aligned with business strategy
• May manage contract managers or paralegals
• Ensure day-to-day work aligns with company policies
