Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a driven commercial attorney to serve as Legal Counsel - Procurement. You will negotiate high-value contracts and ensure alignment with MongoDB’s contracting standards, partnering with global Procurement and legal teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial contract experience, a JD with active bar membership, and strong data privacy knowledge. Hybrid or remote work options in the United States are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial contract experience
• JD with an active bar membership in your jurisdiction
• Experience at law firm or high-growth tech company
• Understanding of data privacy requirements
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal partner to global Procurement
• Draft and negotiate buy-side agreements including SaaS, software, marketing, facilities, professional services, real estate
• Provide practical guidance on high-value procurement transactions
• Develop scalable procurement and legal review processes
• Develop and maintain legal knowledge-management resources
• Identify opportunities to leverage CLM tools and AI technology
• Deliver training to Procurement and business stakeholders on contracting processes and risk allocation
• Monitor emerging legal and commercial issues affecting procurement and incorporate guidance
