Job summary

KBW Financial in Burlington, Massachusetts is seeking an Interim Corporate Controller / Interim Director of Accounting to lead global accounting operations and elevate the function to best-in-class. This temp-to-perm role offers hybrid work and exposure to executive leadership and investors.

You will own the month-end close, manage GL, AP, AR, cash, and working capital, and build a high-performing team while partnering with lenders and the board.

Qualifications

• CPA and public accounting foundation preferred, not required.
• Progressive experience in accounting leadership (Controller / Director-level).
• Background in manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments; CPG experience strongly preferred.
• Experience operating within global organizations and leading international teams.
• Exposure to mid-to-large scale companies (beyond early-stage / small revenue environments).
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and investors.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, cash management, and working capital
• Own the month-end close and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver clear insights on financial performance and key variances
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and scalable infrastructure
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Support interactions with lenders, board, and private equity stakeholders
