Job summary

firstPRO, Inc. Burlington, MA is seeking a Corporate Controller for a hybrid, PE-backed organization. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with executive leadership, PE sponsors, lenders, and the Board.

You will drive close processes, consolidated financials, and reporting, support M&A activity and exit readiness, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required OR CPG industry experience.
• Manufacturing or related industry experience.
• PE-backed, high-growth, or highly leveraged company experience.
• Strong GAAP, cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience with M&A, lender reporting, debt covenants, and exit readiness.
• Strong executive communication and leadership skills.
• Hands-on, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting.
• Prepare consolidated financials, management reporting, and PE/lender reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and strong internal controls.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and margin analysis.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve profitability and working capital.
• Lead external audits, lender compliance, and financial diligence.
• Drive ERP optimization, automation, and process improvements.
• Support cash flow forecasting and AR/AP/inventory initiatives.
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain on strategic initiatives.
• Support M&A integration and exit readiness.

Our client is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a high-growth, private equity-backed organization. Reporting to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership role with exposure to executive leadership, PE sponsors, lenders, and the Board.
