RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist, Accounting and Controllership to join the Accounting and Controllership team in Farmington, CT. The role focuses on technical accounting, policy compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with limited travel.

Applicants should have a finance or accounting degree with up to two years of experience, plus strong data analysis and stakeholder communication skills to support global audits and complex financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 0-2 years related work experience.
• Experience analyzing data and resolving accounting-related issues.
• Experience communicating with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Experience working in environments with multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Lead responsibilities listed below and support high-profile accounting projects.
• The role requires communication and time management to meet deadlines.
• Lead review of updated Raytheon policies, procedures, and exceptions to ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged and provide comments and feedback within required timelines.
• Lead international entity VAT, petty cash, and emergency fund processes.
• Provide oversight for compliance with RTX Records Retention policy and Raytheon records retention schedule.
• Research accounting questions as they arise.
• Support process improvement projects, development of analytics, and maintenance of standard work, as needed.
• Support Special Projects team by managing projects and running system reports, as needed.
• Support annual global statutory audits, as needed.
• Support international tax activities, as needed.
• Support financial reporting close process and financial statement preparation, as needed.
