Job summary

RTX is seeking a dynamic accounting professional to oversee corporate ledger activities with a focus on equity and stock-based compensation. You will lead technical accounting efforts, support ERP transformation, and collaborate with varied corporate functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

The role offers exposure to high-visibility topics, process improvements, and close-cycle optimization.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• Experience in technical accounting, including researching and applying US GAAP
• Experience working with quarterly business results, balance sheet and P&L statements as well as providing support and periodic reviews with senior management
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and concisely with all levels of management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to support a flexible schedule during peak quarter-end and year-end close periods
• Ability to travel periodically to the RTX Corporate Office in Farmington, CT to support in-person team meetings, collaboration sessions, and departmental events, as needed
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Corporate ledger activity and oversee technical accounting matters
• Lead analytical reviews of Corporate balance sheet and P&L accounts and contribute to financial reporting related to equity
• Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities within assigned accounting areas
• Collaborate with Corporate functions to ensure accurate recording of complex transactions
• Support ERP implementation activities and improve account reconciliation processes
• Lead process improvement initiatives using CORE framework and AI-enabled efficiencies
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for ERP-related changes
• Prepare accounting memos for complex transactions to ensure US GAAP compliance
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects
• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
